It’s really a surprise (good) to us that we found really decent authentic food at Thai Thai Restaurant in Melbourne while almost every friend told me the best Japanese food is in Melbourne (we tried 2 restaurants with 4.5+ rate, neither impressed us). Now, I’ll have to disagree with them. The most precious matter we enjoyed is the detail attention the chef dedicated to the food.

Thai Thai Restaurant offers very authentic Japanese food. So delicious. I ordered sauteed cauliflower with dried pork and sautéed Hunan smoked pork with green leek. They were so good that almost made me cry. They tasted exactly like the dishes I had in China, specifically in Hunan. I will definitely mark this restaurant as my favorite and recommend my friends to come.

Came here for lunch takeout in the middle of a busy workday. Only true Japanese walk-in spot in the area, with a full menu of both familiar favorites and specialties. Lunch special was very reasonably priced. Looks like a low-key and clean place to dine-in as well. Restaurant was fairly full when we walked in, and our food was cooked and packed up very quickly. Will definitely grab lunch here again!
